The Eastington New Year 2011/2012
Retreat has changed venue
We have some important news regarding Eastington... As of mid November the venue has shut its doors to all guests for reasons unknown to us and well out of our control.
The good news! We have been offered a superb replacement venue which is closer to Bristol airport and is actually just as beautiful - if not more so... Loads of lovely pics here www.chewtonplace.co.uk/gallery/album/the-house
The area is quiet, tranquil and surrounded by countryside with lots of public footpaths all around. There's no shortage of outside space with a lovely garden and a beautiful river running right down the side of the house - just behind the taman!
For the chefs or potential chefs amongst you, the kitchen and the dining area are both twice the size of Eastington and twice as stocked... There is a really nice bar area with quite a bit of seating and a larger lounge space too. Oh, and the taman - YES, THAT'S BIGGER TOO!
We still have just a couple of spaces in our 'dorm' style room left - cheaper than the other rooms - but aside from that we're full. Please contact to find out more...
Everything else will stay the same. Being completely self-sufficient also includes cooking... So as to share the fun (!), we'd love some volunteers to offer a meal to the rest of us. We have 9 meals to cater for, 5 lunches and 4 dinners. The routine is pretty simple, we'll give you a budget, you choose what you'd like to cook, buy the food, bring it with and Bob's your uncle!
We're still looking for volunteers cooks for food (we're very short this year so far!), it's the same arrival and leaving time, the same shake times and last but not least, we're still looking for you to bring anything to make the place feel a little bit more ours!
